Constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by an additional cluster of oak leaves defaced by a raised skull and crossbones, overlaid by a sword bearing a sunwheel style mobile swastika, plunging into a hydra, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of a
